One thing I will say is that I am getting occasional CTDs with this mod list. I'd recommend the second darkest setting, that's what I use. It makes especially the crappy gun sounds sooo much better. It gives functionality to the day night cycle and planning your time becomes more important (you can't see shit at night). Reverb and ambiance overhaul mod is pretty much a must have in Fallout 4. Having trees everywhere not only makes the game look a lot better (while still looking PA) it also reduces visibility so you get lost more and get surprised by enemies easier. I recommend using Another Green Mod ( ), Darker Nights ( ) and Vivid Weathers ( ) as well.

You seem to level slower as well, but that could just be because I'm running low INT (you only get 9 stat points to assign when starting). The perks are nerfed, maybe a bit too much IMO (you get 5% extra damage for a rank of a gun perk instead of the base game's 20%) and the mod author added some old memes into the skill descriptions which is lame (lone wanderer becomes chad wanderer etc) but otherwise the changes to the perks are excellent. Like it actually makes sense to drop an armor piece that is too heavy even if it has better AR than what you have. You're a lot more limited on weight with this mod than normal survival mode so it makes armor and weapon choices more tactical. Basically it makes the game a whole lot harder and also a more varied, enjoyable experience. brings Fallout Character Overhaul ( Hours of following the guide and the story of. It's a semi TC designed to be used with survival mode and turns off level scaling for enemies, changes perks and loot lists, rebalances weapons and a whole bunch of other things. FCO is a high-resolution overhaul of characters in Fallout New Vegas.

With the mods I'm using it's actually been really enjoyable. I want to try Frost so I thought I'd have another go at the base game for a bit to get used to it before tackling Frost.
